THE REuropean regulations Ggeneral on the Pprotection of Ddata (GDPR) came into force on May 25, 2018. This text created new obligations for companies which, like Niagara, process personal data and new rights for the people concerned by these treatments, in particular the right to forgetting and the right to data portability.
Niagara is in a constant process of complying with the GDPR, and therefore offers its services within a secure and clear legal framework. Since the beginning of its activities, Niagara has attached the greatest importance to the protection of personal data and the entry into force of the GDPR constitutes an opportunity to strengthen this protection for the benefit of its customers. It should be noted that, in the context of the services offered to its clients, Niagara acts as a subcontractor of the latter. It is therefore also up to them to ensure that their operations comply with the GDPR, particularly with regard to the operations of collecting personal data which are then transmitted to Niagara.
Among the measures implemented by Niagara to comply with the provisions of the GDPR, the following can be noted: The appointment of a data protection officer (DPO), Mustapha Mansour, who is in charge of internally ensuring compliance with the data protection policy.
